Product Owner & Functional Analyst
Location: Hybrid, HQ Pristina;
Languages: Albanian (C2) and English (B2) for internal collaboration.
Salvus Health is a patient engagement platform built for community pharmacies across Europe. We help pharmacy teams deliver and scale care services through a purpose-built digital platform. Headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, with our engineering team based in Pristina, we're growing fast and building the infrastructure for pharmacy-led care at a European scale.
The role
This is a product-first role embedded within our Pristina engineering team. You'll work directly with the founders, Tech Lead and developers on a daily basis, translating customer needs and business priorities into a clear, well-sequenced product roadmap. You'll own the backlog, drive sprint planning, and make sure the team is always building the right thing in the right order.
A meaningful part of your time will be dedicated to user acceptance testing, validating that what gets built matches what was specified, makes sense from a user perspective, and is ready to reach customers. You will work alongside our dedicated QA Engineer, focusing on the product and user experience layer rather than technical testing.
You will also handle a portion of our online customer support (primarily email and chat) acting as a first line of response for pharmacy users across Belgium. Machine translations will support you here, so fluency in Dutch or French is not required, but comfort with written communication and attention to accuracy is essential.
Responsibilities
Product Owner / FA (70%)
Own and maintain the product backlog, writing clear user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and keeping priorities aligned with business goals.
Write detailed functional specifications for complex features, documenting business rules, workflows, edge cases, and integration requirements in a way the development team can act on without ambiguity.
Act as the primary bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, reducing back-and-forth between the founding team and developers.
Lead sprint planning, refinement sessions, and retrospectives in close collaboration with the founders, Tech Lead, and development team.
Translate customer feedback, support patterns, and commercial requirements into actionable product decisions.
Track product delivery against roadmap commitments and communicate progress and blockers clearly to leadership.
Develop a deep understanding of Careflows and care service modules as core platform capabilities, ensuring product decisions reflect how pharmacies use them day to day.
Document product decisions, feature specs, and release notes to maintain a shared source of truth across the team.
User Acceptance Testing (20%)
Validate new features and releases from a user perspective, ensuring that what gets built matches what was specified and behaves as a pharmacist would expect.
Document bugs and unexpected behaviours clearly, working with the development team and QA Engineer to ensure issues are resolved before features reach customers.
Act as the last checkpoint between the development team and end users, catching gaps in functionality, copy, or user flow that technical testing may not surface.
Online Customer Support (10%)
Handle inbound customer inquiries via email and chat for pharmacy users, providing timely and accurate responses.
Use machine translation tools to communicate effectively with Dutch- and French-speaking customers.
Escalate complex or urgent issues to the Antwerp team, with full context documented.
Log support interactions and identify recurring patterns that surface product improvement opportunities.
What we're looking for
Experience: 2–4 years in a product management, project management, or closely related role, ideally in a SaaS or software product environment.
Methodology: Solid understanding of agile/scrum practices. You've run sprints, managed a backlog, and worked directly with developers, not just managed timelines from a distance.
Communication: Clear, precise written and verbal communication in English. You can write a spec that a developer can actually build from, and a support reply that a pharmacist can actually understand.
Tools: Familiarity with project and product management tools (Linear, Jira, Notion, or similar). Experience with CRM and support platforms is a plus.
Mindset: Organised, pragmatic, and customer-aware. You understand that good product decisions come from listening to users, not just from instinct. You're comfortable in a small team where roles overlap and ownership is shared.
Languages: Albanian and English required. Dutch or French is a plus but not a blocker given translation tooling.
